Das Boot Director's Cut.

Realistic World War 2 submarine warfare. Plus its the only movie where at the end I was actually cheering the German Nazis on and booing the American Bomber. Also, its grimy, slimy and dirty. You can almost smell the unwashed sailors trapped in a tin can.

Runner up would be Bladerunner Director's Cut and third would be Akira Kurosawa's Ran.

My old favorite was Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but I think since it has changed to I Am Legend.
