It's Will Smith, enough said. Of course it is good. Though I will admit the ending seemed rushed. I dont buy movies but if I ever get a wild hair up my ass, that would be the movie.

I thought the ending was good. He went out with a bang. But I'd like to know about the ending from the books that you guys are talking about.

I wonder if there's gunna be an alternative ending for the dvd o.O

edit:

after a little bit of thinking, I just realized, there were a few bits of the story that were under developed. I'd say them but that would spoil the fun of spotting the foreshadows

Again, it was a great movie...I do think the ending was rushed I just finished reading the book and I can't believe how different they are (not that I didn't expect that) especially since the book was well done. You have to remember this though even the book is short and the movie was shorter than most people are used to these days. I mean the normal movie is about 2 hours now-a-days, but this clocked in just under that and it wasn't even a poorly written comedy (those are the ones that usually come in under 2 hours).

Go to the movies buy this one...two great movies in a row from Will Smith I now forgive him for I, Robot, Bad Boys II and The Legend of Bagger Vance.

I watched the movie was severely disappointed. I guess it was my fault though, because I made the of reading the book before seeing the movie. The book is so much better, and I thought the storyline was so contrived in the movie version.

It was like the director settled on a mediocre script because of the Writers Strike or something. The ending was a cross between an M. Night Shyamalan movie (particularly 'Signs') and an off center biohazard apocolypse movie (particularly '28 WEEKS Later).

But whatever, Will Smith did an AWESOME job. His acting was superb.

I read the book as well and it is a different story, but how often is that not the case...

This movie was obviously completed way before the strike started, but anyway I think holiday always puts their spin on things so that they can draw people in. One of the big differences between the movie and the book is the ending obviously, but there was not infected spy (sorry if you haven't read the book) and Robert Neville is actually as scientist in this one. Also in the book the infected are vampires and in the movie they are rabib cannibals. There is more that is different, but I don't want to ruin it for everyone. I liked the book and the movie, but hollywood always puts its on twist on things.

This movie was great! Will Smith is a GREAT actor. If you need a lot of back and dialog then its not for you.

Just went to see this movie! I've got to say it was better than 28 days (and the sequels). Very cool

In the book they are not vampires they share the characteristics of vampires but are no. But i prefer the creature things better in the book, they appear more violent and dangerous. I liked the book, but i think they changed the script becuase lets face it, the book was way way too violent and i doubt will smith would have joined the movie if it was just like the book.

The ending was a little rushed it could have used 10 or 20 minutes but it was till awsome! I was so pissed when the dog died though, I have never cried at a movie before and i cried when he killed his dog.
