Crap... I can't edit the Title... I mean an original CookingDoggy Riddle... anyways:
Inspired by the Lord of the Rings... (Doesn't rhyme cuz I didn't want to take the time)

I can make you tired, yet wake you up;
I cannot be seen and cannot be felt, yet I exist;
I can cause joy and grief;
I can make you ill, even to death, yet I can heal;
I carry many secrets;
I can travel forward, but never reverse;
I am unstoppable;
I am inevitable;
What am I?

If no one gets it in three pages of responses, I will reveal the answer.
