High-Q: An Introduction

Welcome to the High-Q forums, a place to test your wits while kicking back and relaxing when you've got nothing better to do. The High-Q allows active users to participate in a variety of challenging activities, hopefully providing at least a momentary cure for boredom (Note: Symptoms of boredom may persist. It's normal. You're actually having a lot of fun.)

Zuneboards gets it's own giveaways in the contest section. Every so often (bi-weekly or so), a giveaway will be posted. However, there's no real fun in a giveaway, so instead, contests will be though of with the prize going to the most creative. Safeguards will be set in place so that everyone has a fair shot. Since I know the items to be given away is a major kicker, I'll humor you and say that there's going to be a WIDE variety of prizes, ranging from trivial (+rep or $zB) to cases, accessories, et cetera. This is one of the main reasons it's a private board. Giving back for your support of the site.

Challenges is a place to show off. A puzzle/riddle/list of tasks shall be posted and users may post their answers. I'm going to try to keep this from being a one right answer type of deal to keep things interesting. No prizes here, just creativity and wits.

Time Killers is another quintessential element to High-Q. Previously, the chat has been subject to many cure-my-boredom attacks. Time Killers is a place to keep things interesting once and for all. Members may post links/games (forum or otherwise) in to keep other users busy. It's been suggested (by trogdor) that it feature embeddable games, but we'll see how that goes.

Of course, things can be added, modified, edited, deleted... whatever according to demand. Feel free to post comments and suggestions below.

And Putis/LPX, sub forums should be Contests, Challenges, Time-Killers, and possibly a Lounge. Thanks in advance

Oh, an could you sticky this, the "Be Supportive" thread, and the "Rules & Requirements" to be posted later?

why is this a private group? This should just be a regular section... it'd be more active.

That's up to Putis/LPX. The increase in traffic would be great and really the requirements don't do much for it in general, save make it for the contributers. I'd love to have it go public, but it's their call.

It's still a 'private group,' but I made it so that anyone can join. Up to you guys to get the word out.
