Does disassembling work for adding asian fonts into zune 2.x?

I took a look at a lot of posts and know that the software-based hack does not work for zune 2.x

My question is, if we do the hardware-based one, i.e. disassemble zune and copy the files into its hard drive. Will this work? I've seen nobody talking about this.
