Yeah, I did. Thank you, it was an awesome tutorial. The only part I didn't get was how to delete everything else (I tried ctrl+j but it didn't work).

Exactly. It's hard to make sigs out of anime, for exactly that reason... it's hand-drawn.

Plus the picture does have a little bit of suckage.

I really like it. The colour is nice. The only thing is that there is no focal point.

There are several ways of fixing up a low quality image in PS. Blurring can help if you can preserve the defining lines in the image. The brush sig is nice, but it's just brushes. It's good that you're working with tutorials, though.

True, but does there need to be a focal point? I made it to look random, abstract, and a little dark. I could make one with a focal point later tonight.

Being abstract automatically makes it good art?

Also, abstract art is generally an abstract of something. You take something, simplify it, move it around, but it still represents the original concept in some form. No, random brushes applied does not make it abstract art.
