Just looking for some feedback, constructive criticism would be appreciated. tell me what you think and if you like this I could possible do some requests. I realize its horrible in comparison to ones here, but its my first time.

I like the concept, but the water ripple thing blur the Chiefs face too much, it would look better if that was a little less blurred, other than that I like it.

Perhaps selectively ripple so that Master Chief is less obscured than the rest of the image. Also, would it be possible to fix the aliasing on the typography? Tons of sharp edges all over the place.

If you are using photoshop I dont know GIMP. use and inner glow too, it helps minimize those edges, but I am not that good, there may be a better way.

Try an inner glow on the words as well as a darker outer glow, see if that enhances the smoothness.

heres a hint: take another layer the same pic ...
place it on top lined up with the rippled layer .
then delete the bg so only master cheif is left (doesn't have to be perfect)
then mess with the opacity of that layer so you can see master cheif better but stil have the ripple effect

for the "3" i would look at Planet Renders(you do have to sign up) look in the logo section for a good halo 3 "3"

as for the text see if it has an option to change it to smooth in the topish tool bar thing

but yeah thats just what i think

Nah, you can bash on me all you want. The guys at files.halomods has destroyed my self-esteem in that respect, not just with photoshop, but mods too.

Mr.Munke, that "3" was actually from a text font.

If smoothing that 3 doesn't work, there are some good 3's to choose from.

The last one has the easiest 3 to remove, most likely. If you want them, I've got an account so you don't even need to go to the trouble.
