'Pass The .PSD'

Hello everyone

. Our very own Zuneboards member Monahan, has come up with an idea that will hopefully stir some life into the GFX Board. This game, tentatively titled 'Pass The .PSD' will be for anyone, designer or not. To start, I will upload a .PSD file of an undecided canvas size. Whoever posts after me will download the file and will be able to edit it as they please. Each user will have 24 hours to edit and reupload the file. After their time passes, they will reupload the modified .PSD file for another user to edit and so on and so forth. The point of this is not to make a piece of art, though that would be pretty cool

, but mainly just to have fun and see what comes out of blending our ideas together. The point of this thread is to see what everyone thinks, what rules you all think should be in place, and if we have enough support overall to make this happen. I look forward to your responses.

i've seen/done this before although it was just adding one item or manipulation n no .psd was provided but yeah i like the idea just where are we uploading the .psd how do we choose who goes next...????

seems like a really cool idea.........until we end up with like a 300 layer psd weighing in at 5gb :P .... but seriosly...thats an awesome idea, we did similiar things in art class (but it wasnt digital so the possibilites werent as vast as with this )

I always use MediaFire. It's quick and painless. The user that posts directly after the person who has uploaded the file will be next to edit. That's just my idea, though. The point of this thread is to get suggestions from everyone. Rules, anything.

My suggestion would be one a month, 24 hours each and order of progress decided on who posts their intention to join first.

I would say that people should post first before taking the .psd, to eliminate any confusion on who goes next, then edit that post to include their MediaFire link for download.

[EDIT] Oh yes, a question about this.. what of those not using Photoshop?

I would say to just upload what you edit as a .jpg, but that really limits the possibilities. Then again, there are no possibilities for those w/o Photoshop.

yeah thats what i was thinking ...tag in first....

um what if the person doesn't post in 24hrs ... but does before the next person posts?
