Really weird Driver problem

First off, i've googled this extensively, tried everything here: Your Zune device is not detected by your computer or the Zune software
and i've tried Unzoone. When I plug my 120 gig zune into a USB port (regardless of which), it says "found new hardware: Zune" and starts to try installing, but never does. No windows pop up or anything. When I go into Device Manager, you can see the Zune under Portable Devices flash from a normal icon to an icon with a yellow (!). It says the correct driver version and everything, but every 3 or 4 seconds it changes from "There are no drivers for this device" to "This device cannot start." It'll keep flashing back and forth until I unplug the Zune...

It won't manually install drivers, either. It just hangs at "searching" and does nothing. Even if I point it right at the correct driver.

How is your sync cable holding up? Is it loose or physically damaged at all? Same for your zune's sync port. Also, what shows on your zune's screen during this time?

The ports/cables/etc are all fine. I've tried more than one. It seems to be my computer, as an 8 gig zune doesn't work either...

The whole time this is going on, the zune shows its normal main screen, then it dims out after a bit and pops back on, and repeats...

Edit: I figure this might be a problem with windows itself, or maybe even programs or services not loading right. I recently did a Repair install of windows to fix other things, but now everything is working great aside from my Zune being recognized...

What is the error code for the yellow exclamation point?

I had an issue for the last two weeks and I finally got it fixed... it was the result of some corrupted files that needed recopied. I had to go into safe mode as an administrator, delete the files, recopy the files, and then go back into normal mode and reinstall the drivers to get it to work.

I believe the "this device cannot start" one is error 10, then it flashes back to "no drivers for this device," and loops those two over and over indefinitely
