cant sync with new 4.0

i have a zune 120 and i just got the 4.0 update, but now when it starts the sync it only goes to 98% and then stops and starts again at 0 and up. i dont have the most recent update for the zune itself also since it would let me, i frogot what the erra code was though ill get it and post it

Try hard resetting the device and resetting the firmware or uninstalling and reinstalling the computer software.

i put in in recovery mode so now i have to update it before i can do anything, it says 5 mins for the update, but i tried to do it and it took about 25 mins to get pass the first step, it was on step 3 but i had to go, i cam back in 3 hrs and it still was stuck on step 3. im trying again and it still wont go up to 1% on step 1

EDIT: well i got that part fixed now, but now when i sync it wont add the songs that i bought, which is some of my fav songs, how do i fix this
