4.0 software not correctly detecting capacity.

I have a Zune 80 that worked perfectly fine with the previous gen software, but the new 4.0 software, while the device is connected, misreads the capacity: it shows that only 388 MBs of music are on the device, while 40 GB is for 'Reserved Space'.

Hunh? It should be the other way around. Is there a fix for this? I mean, I *would* like to know how much capacity I'm using up. Seems like pretty basic stuff.

if you want to know the actual numbers of to settings (on the zune) scroll down to the last setting option

i'm having the same issue, however, since the software reads 0.00 GB Free instead of the 4.78 GB Free that my Zune HD reads, I cannot transfer anything to the player... it says there's not enough room. How to I set the software to re-scan the player or something?

Ever since I upgraded I can't delete or add anything to my Zune.

What's this reserved space for anyway? I don't hook up with others, I'm not on Marketplace or any of the other sites...all I want to do is upload/play/download my music and videos.

Any help is appreiciated.
