[SOLVED] Zune Software 4 64bit Hangs on load

The zune is not plugged throughout the below steps.

Just upgraded to version 4 of the software via windows update on Windows 7 64bit.

Launch zune program -> error pops up about needing to recover the library -> click ok (only option) program loads with a blank beige background. No text, no buttons, no tabs. Nothing.

Task manager reports around 50/60% CPU usage, and ever increasing amounts of ram. I killed it at 2GB.

I then uninstalled the program. Downloaded from the zune site, 64bit for vista and win 7. Installed.

Rebooted. Same problem.

I decided to probe it (kindly) so I opened visual studio 2008, and attached to the process. Visual studio reports that it is hanging attempting to open a socket. (.Net class equivalent, but same difference)

Does anybody have any ideas? No other programs have problems establishing a socket on my computer

I had DirectX setup in debug mode, because I make Programs that use it.
The Zune software was crashing because of this, so check to make sure that if you have the directx sdk installed that directx is operating in RELEASE mode before running zune software.
