Zune software 3.1 will not startup.

Hi,

I have the latest Zune software (v3.1.620.0)
with ZuneSoftwareCustomizer installed.

It has been working for about two months and now it decides it doesnt want to open.

It shows up in the task manager for a brief moment but then disappears.

I am running XP SP3
i have already reset the DRM
i do not want to uninstall unless its absolutely necessary.
I am okay with editing the registry.

Please help me

unfortunatly i would have to say that you have to uninstall

But it is not all that bad because you can use the unzoone tool, and you will not lose any of your content at all.

Click Unzoone, in my sig, and then go to zune.net and reinstall the latest software (note, you will have to manually update to software to 3.1 to get your ms games back)

NOW MY SOFTWARE DOESNT WANT TO INSTALL

i get this error. it is written by the letter.

"Installation failed

Setup must stop because the required package 'Zune' didn't install.

I went to the website specified, did exactly what it told me to do and still it comes back with the same error.

The Zune device is fine. Still has my music on it

I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.5
I also had the zune software customizer installed.

The DriverCA section is not the same as this is not an image of my setup.

Another thread was posted with the same type of problem but its closed.

i successfully reinstalled the zune driver but it did nothing.

i personally think its .net framework 2.0

i want to reinstall it but it wont let me.

Why have you only got 2.0? Update and that should do it. 3.0

uh....... just click the MicrosoftUpdates in my sig

it will keep u 100% updated

Everytime i try to use Microsoft Update, i get the error message that says "user data persistence is not enabled. Please enable it" when i have checked multiple times that it is enabled.

i was able to reinstall 2.0 but it didnt do anything. i also bought a new radeon hd 4650.
