[SOLVED] Zune software wont install

When i try to upload the Zune software a error message comes up saying that i need Windows Installer 3.1, but my computer is updated to Service Pack 3 which, to my knowledge, comes with Windows Installer 3.1. When i go to the Windows site and try to install Windows Installer 3.1 it wont let me, saying that it is unnecessary because my computer is already updated, but Zune still wont let me run the software because it still thinks it needs Windows Installer 3.1......

Any suggestions for my dilemma?

He's got SP3 and I think Xp is the only one with 3 Service Packs.

Have you had Zune installed before on your system? Any information you have would be helpful.

Try installing Windows Installer 4.5.

I have not tried installing Zune on this system yet, though I had it working on another PC before it died and I switched to my current one. I am on an XP. Would Windows Installer 4.5 work if the Zune is asking for Windows Installer 3.1?
