Now playing/Zune Card/ Favorite

Hey Guys, I am having some trouble with the zune software. I tried looking in the threads...but was unable to find an answer. I am unable to mark most of my songs as a favorite. I am able to mark like 5 or 6 out of several hundred. The ones that are markable have the really cool now playing screen, with album art and all that jazz. They also show up in the market place as "In collection". While on the other had the ones that are not markable, they do not have the cool now playing version. They also do not show up in the marketplace as "In collection".

The zune card, shows the markable ones as "clickable" and the non as grayed out. These songs are from poular bands ie coldplay T.I. Switchfoot. So that is not the problem. I have tried converting Id3 tags, changing music format to AAC, mp3,and wma and that has done nothing! IF you guys have any ideas that would be GREAT!
