Default Plug in zune constant double beeps

Anybody got any ideas of how to fix the problem ive been having? My software has worked fine for around a year or so no problems until randomly last week. When I plug the zune into the usb cable my computer gives that "error" beep twice consecutively and then it recurs about every 3 -5 seconds until I unplug it.

You have Vista right?
Your port on the bottom of your Zune for the sync cable is b0rked.
Call Zune support at 1-877-GET-ZUNE to get a replacement.

Same thing going on here, once I plug-in my Zune constant double beeps as if I am connecting and disconnecting the Zune, tried with two different cables and same output so I'm thinking there's a good chance that it isn't the cable. Must be a software issue and I'm going to go for a long shot and say that I think it has to do with SP3 because I do not have SP3 installed yet, since I deem it mostly unnecessary. But it seems as if it is a driver issue of some sort.

Exclamation

I just solved this for myself (on XP SP3).
  1. Connect your Zune.
  2. Run Device Manager. Under Portable Devices your Zune probably has the yellow triangle with the black exclamation point.
  3. Double-click the Zune.
  4. On the Driver tab, click Uninstall to remove the driver.
  5. Disconnect and reconnect your Zune.
Windows should detect the USB device and install the driver properly.

Now if I can only get the Zune software to run I'll be able to sync again! Nothing happens when plug in the Zune or I launch it manually. There's no error message or anything.
