Hi there, I just finished extensively editing all of my songs ID3 tags using EasyTAG (Linux) and then booted into windows to (hopefully) see the changes reflected in the Zune Software. I RELOADED all the songs into the Zune Software and NONE of the changes have taken place. What is the software reading? And how can I get it to see my (glorious) ID3 Tags?
Unless, does Windows place restrictions on how long a tag can be? I mean, several of Sufjan Steven's songs have quite long names But even things like "Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton" are being displayed as "Emily Haines & The Soft Skelet" Also, I tell my Zune Software to monitor the folder "Music" Inside of which I have it organized in the following folder structure: Music > Artist Name > Album Name > Songs.mp3 It won't load all the folders for some reason. There are no illegal character, or anything of the sort. It will load Music > Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton > Knives Don't Have Your Back but will "skip" Music > Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton > What Is Free To a Good Home Why is this? |

I don't think Zune supports ID3 tagging (unfortunately). I've heard a lot of gripes about this specific issue. The best thing you can do is edit the songs within the Zune software or edit them in Windows Media Player (which I find works much better)
If a song doesn't show up in Zune, you can try and drag and drop the file directly into the software. If that doesn't work, there's something that the software is rejecting. Hope that helps...
