Getting Bearshare songs into Zune software?

I like Bearshare because it allows me to download full albums. But, the Zune software refuses to play it. It says it can't play the protected file. I get error C00D11E7. Is there a way around it? I can't download whole albums in Frostwire, and prefer not to use bittorent.

It's called DRM. And unless you paid for the music (never heard of Bearshare, so I don't know if it's a paid for service or not), it's illegal to remove it. The Zune software can't play protected(DRM'ed) files. If you Google search for "DRM stripping software," I'm sure you'll find something to suit your needs.

I use bearshare, I have no problem. the only thing you must note it the new updated version doesn't work with Zune. You need to download Bearshare 5.0.1, you can find it at Filehippo It works just fine.

And also illegal, if you're getting free music from it. I looked up this Bearshare thing and it's apparently legal. Somehow. But it's best not to reccommend how to get illegal things on the boards.

just trying to help =[ i know i should really stop. Downloaded over 75gig of music and 25gig of music. Its addictive. no real good legal one though, for smaller band that i like.

Well don't worry about it, I'm sure everyone's done it. It's where a lot of good music comes from. I don't fault anyone for using it, just try not to talk about it on the public boards, key?

Whoa, stop right there. Delete Bearshare and scan your computer. Many people have had to wipe their entire drive because of that crap software.

Well, that's only on the "Free" version, the "Lite" and "Premium" were untouched as far as packaged malware. Regardless, he should be running thorough scans no matter what the program as P2P can open one's computer up to remote exploits, no matter how safe, what's being sent, and so on. Malwarebytes.org
