[SOLVED] Unable to install Zune 3.0

guys..
this zune 3.0 is killing me!!
I get an error message saying...

cound not write InstallGeold key to \software\microsoft\zune\setup
verify u have sufficient access..bla bla bla
Error code: 0X80070643
windows installer 3.1, Windows mp 11, XMLLite are installed..
i have also unzooned previous zune version.. still this damn thing is bugging me..
please help me out

Are you using an account with Admin level priviledges to install? Are you using a domain-based account? Failing to do the first or doing the second may hinder ther ability of Zune to install.

i'm adminstrator and this is my home desktop pc.. i'm not getting it.. it worked well on my laptop without any glitch..

Alright, you might need to just wipe out the old software to install the new. Also, make sure to do it from Administrator, not just one with Admin rights if you want to be sure: UnZoone

dont know why it doesnt work.. i logged in as adminstrator and tried to install, still it gives the same error.

Rightclick the app and choose properties, then choose the compatibility tab and run in compatibility mode with windows 2000 and try again.

as much as i love zune for the quality of sound output.. at this moment i cant stop myself from thinking how good itunes was [

got it solved.. i had to reinstall Windows Installer 3.1 for some reason.. and it works now..
