In the Settings, under General, there's a little button that tells the Zune software to check for updates. It has never worked. The software will simply crash. I tried doing it today and I'm getting a new error message for some reason.
Board says I can't post an image or a link, so screencapping the error is impossible, I guess. I'll just have to transcribe it. "Can't check for updates. Please try again later. Error Summary: An unknown error occurred. For more info, click Web Help. Error code: C00C11CD (80070422) Web Help" Web help itself is no actual help. Is this progress? What do I do now? |

So I am guessing that you are trying to upgrade to 3.0, right?
If so, try this link and download the Zune 3.0 Package. Download details: Zune 3.0 Try that out, if it end up working, open the Zune software up and you will then be able to update your Zune firmware to 3.0. It will include the 2 games, Hexic, and Texas Hold 'Em

Bump.
For those having trouble updating because of: Error Summary: An unknown error occurred. For more info, click Web Help. Error code: C00C11CD (80070422) I've solved it (for XP, anyway). Go to Start>Run... and type in "services.msc", Look for "Automatic Updates" and make sure the startup type is set to Automatic. Worked for me! ![]() |
