3.0 upgrade help please

I recently reformatted my computer losing my zune software along with everything else. So I go to reinstall my zune software with the disc I got in my 30g zune. That goes fine I have the old one fine. But when I try to updated my comp freezes and it just won't install.

Help Please

you say it won't install?
does it know that there is an update?
where are you updating from? zune or windows update
is there an error message when it installs?

I don't really rely on the cd because since the download is available (49 mb not the 168 on Microsoft) it is much easier

been using this zunesetuppkg-x86.exe i get to the zune screen but it doesnt do anything from there
