Now the computer won't recognize my Zune

Last night I updated the new software onto my brother's computer that I use for my Zune. I re-started the computer and pulled up the software, but when I plug the Zune into the computer, nothing happens. The screen goes black, but it doesn't say "connected". There's a small Zune-like icon on the taskbar that says something like "searching for driver device" or "driver software" or something like that (it was last night, can't quite remember). Anyway, it said it was searching for some sort of software then a window pops up and aays there was some sort of problem and I need to contact the manufacturer. So the Zune software appears to start up just fine, but I can't sync anything because it's like the Zune isn't plugged in at all.

Has anybody had this happen? Is there anything I can do? Please help if you can...I just bought this damn thing and I'm about to get pissed.
