Hi ALL, JUST GOT A NEW PC AND A 340 GIG wd ETX HARD DRIVE....NOT SURE HOW TO MAKE SURE THE MUSIC GETS LOADED ONTO IT...DO i GO TO 'SETTINGS'/'MONITERED FOLDERS' IN ZUNE SOFTWARE AND DELETE THE C DRIVE AND ADD THE J EXT HARD DRIVE? AT A LOSS...THX!!

just put all of your music into the my music folder and the zune software will add it to the library and it will sync to your zune

yea just delete my music from the c drive as a monitored folder and add your external folder, it will do the rest for you. Thats how i do it just make sure you dont unplug your external!!

If you want to do this, you'll have to sync your Zune as a guest, not as it's home. Otherwise, the files will be removed from the Zune on every sync that the HD isn't plugged in.

that doesnt happen for me. as i have chosen what music to put on, i think it doesnt take it off auto either

Thanks for the replies...I seem to be loading my music to 'J' drive my ext hard drive....but for some reason the first song from every cd is put into 'unknown artist' folder on Ext HD...the Zune Media player is not reading the first song of every cd either..so I have to go back and type in the song title on ext HD and Zune collection what a pain in the ......any ideas??

no you dont. just go into the software and right click the album, click update album info, type the name of the album in with the artist, and then follow from there
