Can't Install Software Error Code: 0x80071011

So I'm trying to install the Zune software on my desktop (running XP),
and it keeps stopping at "preparing your computer" and gives me this
message:

Installation Failed

Setup must stop because the required package '%1!s!' didn't install

Error Code: 0x80071011

Now originally I got an error message at "Checking For Updates" and it
led me to the same link this one does, where it gave me a link to
download the "updated package" or something like that. I've made sure
to run Windows Update and have everything up to date, so why am I getting
this message? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
