Is it possible to play video/music already ON THE ZUNE through the pc?

i realize the software wont allow this, but is there some hack for this? i know the patch that allows you to view it as a harddrive is available, but that doesnt work for what i want.

it would be nice if this was allowed since i wont have to keep any music or movie files on my laptop... just plug in my zune to my laptop and play it straight from there.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Kinda. You can buy a connector for a TV connection, and then buy a card for the computer that accepts RCA input. That's about it. Kinda convoluted, expensive, and not worth it.

if you connect your zune, go to device and you should be able to play those files through your pc?

but i dont think you can use the zune as storage or something

Well... I think I got this working before simply by plugging the Zune into the computer's mic jack. It worked when I tried it, at least. Of course you need the cable for it...
