Alas - I was coerced into upgrading to Vista to access DX10 abilities.
Well, through the (messy) process of upgrading - I had to do a complete system recovery ![]() Thus I lost all my music/photos/vids (cue biggest headache in the pc world) Yet - my Zune itself obviously retains all the files I had previously synced to it - so I believe there may be a small amount of salvation to come out of this deadly process. Without re-calibrating my Zune to connect to my "new" computer (and thus lose all my current content) - is there a solid way to pull files from my Zune? All help is GREATLY appreciated - I imagine this could be a common problem - but couldn't find much on the net other than this process - which requires you have a zune currently calibrated to zune software I restate: If I calibrate it to the software however - I'll lose all current files on my Zune. I had to chop up the link b/c apparently I can't post links until I've had four other problems (posts) :P www . mydigitallife.info/2006/12/24/enable-copy-and-transfer-of-data-with-zune-to-use-as-portable-hard-disk/ Thanks again - Greentux |

When you connect it, you should have the option to choose it as a guest.

No go my friend - I'm picking up the infamous error code 39 (device driver failed to install correctly or something along those lines)
Tried using this process: 1. Right-click My Computer 2. Click Manage 3. Click 'Local Users and Groups' 4. Double click Groups 5. Open up the Administrators group 6. Click Add 7. Click Advance and the Find 8. Double click on the LOCAL SERVICE user to add it to the Admin group 9. Try logging into the computer as an Admin (make sure the Admin account is enabled first) - but I get to number 3 and local users and groups isn't there; thus I cannot make my local service affiliated with the admin group sweet jes@s I love vista already |
