My BIG Discovery of Fixing The Sync Issue

It seems that wherever you google, you find so many people having problems with the Zune software. I was sure this was going to be better than the iPod but just basic functionality has cost us all dearly.

I originally could sync and use my software perfectly, until one day my software wouldn't be recognised. These are all the things I have tried up to date:

Reset my zune, then restart my PC then reconnect zune
-Hold left arrow and up

Result: Nothing

Add the Zune as an external Hard Drive using zAlternator

Result: Can see my files in explorer but cannot copy the 50gb of music as its too large

Try to sync it with other software such as WMP11 by dowloading zSuite

Result: Cannot get it to work because to unlock it you have to end process while its syncing something but I can't even get it to start to sync.

Check under device manager that there is no problems

Result: No Problems

Change the USB hub to the back and try others

Result: Fine

Reinstall zune software by uninstalling it manually and trying it with Unzoom

Result: Couldn't reinstall because of error. Downloaded zunepackage and still an error. Later found out I had to enable windows firewall and it then worked. How stupid?

Create a new user account and try it with that

Result: Progress. It has now shown the zune and I can now see all the music under device. But I still cannot Sync or copy from my zune to my collection.

Tried to rollback to original software that was fine

Result: Couldn't do it

These are all the possible solutions I can find using a vast array of websites. If anybody has other solutions that aren't listed please add them so we can all collectively try them as it is so common.

Some of these that didn't work for me might work for you.

I STILL CANT get my music back on to my PC which is so frustrating. So any further advice on what I haven't tried would be greatly receieved.

I'm really worried I may never get my collection back.

I'd Unzoone, then run CCleaner, then use SZIP 2 to reinstall.

Softwares are all free and can be found via google

You could also substitute CCleaner with Glary Utilities.
