Getting Old Zune Software/Firmware

I have researched this and it has just led to even more confusion. Could anyone please tell me if it is posible to download old zune software, prefferably the 2.2. Basically i have the 2.5 software and firmware but i want older versions so that i can use zAlternator and zSuite.
So if anyone knows where and how to get old zune software and how to install older firmware could you please help me. Because i have spent a very long time searching with no success!

Yes, there is a tutorial here that you can use to do this fairly easily but it does take a bit of time and patience. Good luck!

Thanks Justananomaly. I've looked at that thread, and i thought that it would be easier to wait for a zAlternator for the 2.5 firmware rather then messing around with system restore and such. Thanks for the help though, it seems like the only way to downgrade firmware is the hard way! Or just be lazy and wait for smater people to make hacks :P
