Zune Software Writing ID3v1

After taking the advice in one of the stickied threads, I removed all ID3v1 info from my mp3 collection and had a nice clean library of all ID3v2 only tagged songs.

Many of these songs I had assigned custom genres to such as "Deathcore" or "Hardcore".

What I found after using foobar to check the "status" of the tags in my library I realized that something was writing ID3v1 tags back onto my mp3s. Foobar was not the culprit as I have it set to ID3v2 mode only.

What I realized was that the Zune software, when encountering these custom genres, copies all ID3v2 data to ID3v1 but changes the genre to "other".

Minor annoyance but I figured I'd share the info and ask if there's any way anyone knows to stop this from happening?
