My Zune Wont Charge

i have a 80 GB, and when ever it runs out of battery, it wont turn on obviously.
But my problem is when i plug it into my computer, it says it is charging than shows me the red battery, than goes black and doesnt charge. I will leave it in for along time and nothing will change. The zune cant be recognized by the software because it cant turn on and cant charge.
please help!
