odd error?

everytime i start the zune software i get this wierd error

The exception unknown software exception (0xc06d007f) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b.

---------------------------

i have no idea what to do and i dont really want to uninstall/reinstall because i dont know what will happen to my podcasts/everything else i have.
any help would be appreaciated thank you

You could try rightclicking the zune.exe and goto properties, then the compatibility tab and run it in compatibility mode with windows 2000 and see if that works.

ok cool thanks im trying that now
but wierd thing is after i restarted my comp (just to see what it did) the message changed to the standard "this process has encountered an error and needs to close " prompt

edit: nope dosnt work its just giving me that message
a guy on the offic. zune forums said i should uninstall it? would i loose all my settings and stuff if i did that
