Default same problem via 3 computers

okay i got this piece of crap from a friend (i can see now how this ends friendships) and i will say this has to be the ONLY media player i have ever had this much trouble with...and i am very surprised as to why it would have this much *#&$ wrong with it.

I plugged it into my guest computer (running xp sp2 updated) and it wont recognize the damn thing, i got the most recent driver...and even when pointing it directly TO the file it still wont recognize it. it just keeps poppin on and off about new hardware, device manager just keeps refreshing because it keeps turning on and off as new hardware. HOWEVER the software from the zune website works.

on my brand new computer which is a custom with everything updated (a heavy gaming machine) running xp sp3...the zune popped on great, its showing up where it needs to be on the device manager. but when i downloaded the zune software...it crashes upon the lil zune starting animation. so i instead got the unzoone and your SZIP and tried that...same prob.

third is another new computer running sp3 updated. the zune software will start up... give me the first set of options (to choose what files i wanna use, from the collection or build my own later..or whatever) then crash. also the zune cannot be found AS WELL as the driver issue.

this has been 4 days and honestly this is some A class BS that one media player has SO MUCH trouble behind it especially one made by the flippin CREATOR OF THE DAMN OS ITS MEANT FOR.

it seems i am goin to have to dedicate the machine that actually installed this piece of crap and recognizes it so how can i get this zune software to actually stop crashing on a grand scale. i saw the zalt option but any link i saw was closed or error.

Try:
1. Uninstalling with unzoone and reinstalling with the full Zune package.
Then, 2. Doing a hard reset of the Zune device.

there is a way to sync your zune otherwise if that is what you are interested in!
Then you wouldnt need zune software: heres the link!

http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/tut...lternator.html

Also, if that dosn't work, download the software onto a usb! Then, unplug the internet, and then setup the software via the usb! It may cause it to stop crashing!
I hope this will help!

as i said i already been sitting with this crap for 3 days i did all that unzoone and reinstall BS...all of it..and nothing, i decided to work with the only computer that will recognize this !##$@...and for the install to a USB solution i see the SZIP 2.5 only installs to the local hard disk..no other way to really install it anywhere else and if i try to do it elsewhere...it doesnt even run. another prob with that szip is it tries to install something a aaah geoid file or something...and it cant so i just hit ignore.

I dont know what else to do this isnt even some kind of "oh you cant do it cause the zune is advanced..." its a matter of completely @#$!@ product support....I really dont understand it.

the MM solution is okay...but i cant seem to find a working link to Zalt anywhere on this board and i tried to look for it. i did get the hdd hack...and wonder what it does and after going over the instructions...i then noticed it didnt do jack crap. and oh yeah, i need to actually get that lame ass zune prog to work before i can do the steps required, and it keeps crashing on me.

I have had nothing even resembling a problem with my zune or software, everything works as it should and is very good at doing so.
