trouble after plugging zune into computer?

my friend let me borrow her zune to try it out and see if i like it enough to buy one. It had low battery so i plugged it into my computer and it said that it was installing device driver software but i dont have the cd so i unplugged it since i coulldnt do anything to it. Once i unplugged it i couldnt move it up or down to see pictures or listen to music.The last thing i had it on was the radio and thats all i could do or go back and turn it off but thats all. will it only work once my friend has plugged it in her computer since shes the one with the program? can i do anything to amke it work or is my friend the only one who can fix this problem? thank you for your help

Why did you freak out when you plugged it in?
Try a hard reset. Down and back at the same time.

What zune do you (she) have? And if you installed the software, that would most likely fix it.

yeah i think ill just let her take it but i think im for sure buying one an 8 gb
