Zune 2.5 problem!

I can't seem to get the new software to work. The first time I installed it, it refused to recognize my Zune. Then, after installing the "ultimate 2.3 install file" it did recognize it but I had to update in order to sync (since my Zune's firmware is up-to-date). When I tried to update, I got the message that my Zune Software already was up to date - which it clearly wasn't! I uninstalled the 2.3 version (UnZooned, too) and tried to install 2.5 again. The installer finished in mere seconds and told me that my Zune Software was ready to use even though there is no trace at all of any Zune Software! What am I to do next? I'm stuck, and it's really getting on my nerves! I've never had a problem with the software before...

When I try to run zune-x86.msi, I recieve this error message:

"DriverCA 23:21:36.828: Operation 'InstallHardwareDriver' has finished with result 0x80070057."

Error code 0x80070057 has nothing to do with my problem!
