Zune Software 2.5 FINALLY!

ok people. got your salt ready?

so i was talking to the Zune tech support guys(and gals...mostly gals) about how all my videos were being renamed and how i can counteract that...ever happen to you btw? of course it has!! so buddy-boy on the other end of the line says " while we dont have a workaround for that besides the retarded library reset tool, we ARE aware of the problem" Thats nice to hear because i called back three times b4 someone admitted it. He even went so far to say: "I'm Not even supposed to tell you this but we are having training right now on the new software."

So, obviously this dude doesnt give a sPit about his job cuz at this point either hes lying to me, or hes telling me something hes not supposed to!
he continues:
" they've given us all beta versions of the new software...version 2.5!!!"
(YAY!!!)
and its gonna be out "very very soon" (not fuNking soon enough!)
he also said "It will allow you to control the meta-data"

ok anything else?

(got yer salt ready?)

you will soon be able to sync with windows media player....
don't believe me?

call them up...someone is bound to fess up sooner or later

I've never liked WMP, but hopefully this is true (as far as the software update). Some tangible evidence that they haven't been on their butts this whole time would be welcomed

. I think we all knew that an updates was on the way, though. Couldn't be soon enough.

is there any OTHER updates? cause just the WMP and the video thingy dont SEEM like the main reason for the software update... yea it's a great bonus but i dont think they'll make all that hassle just fore WMP.

from what the first dude told me: they are "very aware of the problem" of videos renaming themselves and the music in the wrong artist folder thing etc.! and thats why theyve recently added more stuff to the REAL support page so you dont have to depend on the incredibly bitchy "community support page" (which seems like one big gloating ground for iSheep.). i think we all agree that the 2.3 software is bad...it may be pretty but its just ...not good!!! but im going to take this opportunity to speculate on what the new software will b doing...silverlight? am i crazy? maybe its just more intergration? remember when windows and internet explorer became one big program? how old were all of you when you found out you could type a web address in the windows explorer?
my t-mo dash and shadow both sync with wmp...my gf's gogear thing does too...y not my zune? the zune software is built off wmp, y wouldnt they do it in the first place? i dont know but... i spent two hours on the phone with a bunch of chicks PRETENDING they didnt know that the zune software is fallible, and the first GUY i talk to drops that on me...i went to tell engadget...but then who am i, right?

so ive been a lurker on here for a while...figured i might as well drop a pretty little nugget....what would i have to gain by lying?

somebody else call them

btw did you know they wont transfer you to escalations/complaints without a name, a phone number and a serial?! the nerve of those people

j/k. I didn't even know that they updated their "support" section, if that's really what it could've been called. It's still pretty basic, though.

i definately agree with you there! The support page on zune.net has almost no information on it!
i actually saw a thread on there once that said
"solution to all of your zune problems"
the solution the dickwrinkle put was "return it to the store and get your money back" real helpfull! thats the kind of people they have posting on there!
what a productive use of time right?

Hm, interesting. I hope this rumor is true. I've never been a fan of WMP, however, I know some people who are (for some reason). I could use this to convert them, should it prove to be true.
