Default Album art missing after reset

I have about 3000 mp3's some ripped myself, some downloaded without tags.
So after adding album art manually to dozens of them, I still had a few artists with no art. So I used the reset tool as MS instructs. Also I changed my Zune to guest to keep stuff from disappearing (see other posts on that).
But now some of the albums that had art before don't have it. It's worse on the collection than on the device, but why won't the software get art that it got before the reset? I tried deleting all the ZuneAlbumArt files and the art cache but it made no difference. The software will not find art for several albums that it had before reset!

Any suggestions?

Maybe you could just let the Zune software sit there a minute,

Give it a minute to find all the album art

Try this in the software.
Settings>collection, and un check automatically update album art. Close the software, open it up again and check automatically update album art.

I got some improvement by uninstalling the software, clearing out all Zune files & folders, and then re-installing. It found almost all the earlier art, plus it kept the art I manually added.
But having a mix of mp3's that were ripped from cd's, downloaded and some even recorded from vinyl records, the tags in them are sometimes a mess. I actually think the Zune software did a fair job overall of finding cover art. The main reason I like having album art is if friends want to know something about an artist. Pictures speak 1000 words.
There was a problem with the art finding before I re-installed. In some cases it would not find any art at all for some artists. Now the same artists have (usually) the correct cover art.
