If you have a different windows profile, log on to that user and you'll get a dialog asking if you want to connect as a guest. Do that and you should be golden

go to recycle bin and restore ur files
or
go to control panel
click on performance and maintaince
on the side bar, there should be "system restore" which will take u back a to the last save point, making ur computer the way it was at that time
or
if u did the hdd hack, u cud copy the files from ur zune and paste them into ur folders
or
if u can connect as a guest u can do the copy to collection
well my computer(running xp) allows the computer to basically back up ur data everytime u turn on the computer and allows u to go back to a certain time, that way u dont lose any information
just check the date it tells u and choose the most recent one
Doesn't the suggestion about "forget this zune" and making your zune a guest work? Then transfer the files over?
I have drag and dropped movies from the Zune to my collection, cant it work the same with all the files?
I tried it, but it won't copy the podcasts. Presumably because podcasts aren't a big deal to keep on your computer and easier to find later. But these I just marked as podcasts to make them easier to listen to and to separate from my music.
Anyway, yeah. I will try that hack and let you know how it goes.
