Default Zune "Rebooting" and skipping songs

My problems are just like I stated in the title. I have a 30 gig zune, 98% full. I use it mainly at work. My problem is, randomly, never the same song twice, nothing i can correlate, my zune will just reboot, or stop playing the song it is on, and skip to another. I know im not hitting keys, as i have the device locked. Almost all the music is from actual cds, brand new, no scratches, so its not corrupt data. I also can play them all on my laptop just fine. So the problem is strictly within the zune. The second part of this problem, is about an hour after i bought the zune, the wind blew my receipt from my hands, and i had payed in cash, so more or less, i have no warranty, even though its only 3 or 4 months old. I have formatted the zune, several times, to try to resolve the issue, to no avail. HELP. If you have any suggestions, respond here, or if youre really nice, directly to my email, which i can get on my phone. jarrod.norman@gmail.com

First of all, all you need for the wartenteey(spelling) is the serial number .

What I recommend doing is a hard reset(deletes all content+firmware), and then resynching all content.

I have done that, several times. I have even made sure my hard drive on my laptop was defraged, to make sure the data wasnt spread out, to eliminate that as a cause.

You could try calling Micro$oft. They may be able to fix it for free.

Could you try freeing up 8% of the Zune's drive?

Are you positive you have done a hard reset, not just a reset?

yes, i did the restart and then back + left + center button, reinstalled the same version of firmware as was already on it, five or six times. according to zune.net, this is a known issue, though they (microsoft) apparently doesnt know why it happens. i did call them today. after talking to several reps, and having my ticket excalated to a tier 2 person, they just more or less said to hell with trying to fix it, and they are going to replace it. so a word of advice to everyone out there who has this problem, if you cant return it to the store you got it from, call zune support (425)637-7096, go through all their bs, and they will either get it fixed, or send you another one, if you are within your warranty
