Default Why sync all the time??

How I can delete media from my computer without having Zune automatically delete the same content from the device?

Reason I ask is I want to free up space on the computer but still keep the content on the device?

I tried changing some of the sync settings but the problem continues. Thnx.

go to settings, remove all the monitor files, then they won't know if you delete things.

Then it won't add any either...

After you finish syncing, go to the software settings, click "Device" and then click "Forget this Device". Disconnect and you can delete all you want.

For a more permanent fix, if you've got multiple users on your computer, login as another user and open the zune software. When the dialog box pops up, select "Link Zune".
Log out of that user. Log back on to your profile and open the zune software. There will now be an option to connect as a guest. This is what you want.

Monitoring folders for new content is one of the nicest things about the Microsoft content management software though. The lack of folder monitoring was something I absolutely HATED about iTunes.

Even though it won't auto-add or delete stuff from the Zune in guest mode, his software will still keep an updated look at what's on the computer won't it? And that makes life easier.
