Whenever I used the old zune software, no matter the dimensions it would be sized right for the zune. Updated to 2.0 recently and added alot of new songs and it seems like if the image isn't square like the album art is supposed to be, it will just use the middle as the art instead of the whole picture.
I have a long picture for example that instead of showing the whole thing, I only see the center and it looks pixelated and crappy. Did I miss something or is this just another in the long list of things the new zune software is inferior to the old one? I used mp3tag for some tagging because the zune software wasn't adding album art to some of the songs for some reason and it seems to have the same problem. Is it just the new firmware itself? tia |

Sorry but that's the way it's going to be.
The only way you could fix it would be to manually resize all the album art to 240x240 pixels.

Or you could get better album art e.g so its has square dimensions. I normally use 500x500 album art covers for good quality.

Oddly enough when I re synced it after using wmp to add the art it was fine...guess ill be using wmp for now on since it seems the best. Now I just have to go through the hundreds of albums I have and re do them =/
Better yet is there a way to have both zune 1.0 and 2.0 installed? Old software just seems better but can't sync anything to a zune with the new firmware with it(sigh microsoft). |

yup, you have to resize the picture yourself or else its going to be too big for your zune mainly.
