Drag & drop sync without adding to Collection?

So I have my Zune plugged in and the desktop software running. There is one MP3 file on my desktop.

Is there a way to sync it onto the Zune WITHOUT adding it to the "Collection" in the Zune desktop software? I could have sworn that was possible in the 1.0 days. I don't want to add it to the collection, then go FIND it in the collection, and then drag it to the sync icon.

Try zAlternator to sync with WMP.
