General Zune Software Ask for help regarding the Zune software.

Exclamation HELP PLEASE.


So, I have the problem where when I try to open the software it says "Can't connect to Zune Marketplace, Make sure no other instances of the Zune software are running, then try again". Idk what this is and I have searched this site for some answers, but none of it really helps, and I dont want to go through the whole re installing windows option. I rather just downgrade. I have the software 1.4 cd that I can get the software off, but I have no idea how to downgrade the firmware in my zune. Does anyone know how to downgrade the firmware in the zune? Will is erase everything in my zune? How can I back up my music in my zune if I dont have it in my com anymore, and the software wont open? Help would be appriciated alot since I love my zune. Thanks!!!!!

The error message you're getting is most likely because there is an instance of Zune already running in the background; you can either reset your pc or CTRL+ALT+DEL and end it in the task manager. That should solve that problem - I don't think you should have to reinstall. Downgrading would wipe the Zune's memory, so you'd have to re-sync everything. There's a tutorial in the forums here, it's really involved. I'd try just restarting your computer or ending the process before you do anything drastic.

I tried all of that, it stil says that. If theres something running hidden I cant find it.
