Default help with new zune

had a zune before, but it took a crap on me. it's a 30 gig. now i have a replacement and when i tried to hook it up to te computer, it isn't recognized by the computer. it's not the usb port that's the problem. it does have the old firmware, but from what i've heard, that shouldn't make a difference. any help? is it because i'm using the old cord?

No I don't think so, but it might be the fact you need a new (new as in new not new as in v2) cord because the one you have is fried. But does the zune show that it's charging when you connect it?

It might also be a driver issue.
You can try to see if any of these help: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/gen...er-issues.html

I don't think it's the cord, but if you can get one for free, why not
