Why does my Zune sync item already on my zune?

I just attempted to sync 1 item onto my Zune. It was a picture and just dragged and dropped it over the sync icon. When it started to sync it started syncing music I already have on my Zune and taking off music I already have on my Zune, I checked my Zune and didnt gain or loose any music, I did get my picture though. Why does this do this every time. It is always a different amount of music that it adds or deletes, and I havent added any new music to sync, this didnt always do this, just over the last few days!! Any help???

It's called Automatic Sync, anytime you delete or add music to your collection, it automatically mirrors that action on your Zune

Sometimes it resyncs stuff because it doesn't recognize it's on there.
