Smile [SOLVED] Reinstalled, now can't create playlist. "Playlist name already exists.

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I had issues with installing my zune software for the last couple of days and now that it's all fixed I'm having problems IN the software. When I try to create a playlist, I get a message box that says "You already have a playlist named XXXXX, choose a different name." The problems is that I DON'T already have a playlist named XXXXX. According to the software, I don't have any playlist. I would've included a screenshot but I haven't posted 5 times yet.

I'm really getting sick of messing with this Zune software Why won't it just work dammit!? I had high hopes that I would enjoy this device more than my IPOD but so far it's been nothing but a headache. Hope someone can help.

BTW: Does anyone know if Microsoft is working on a software patch to fix all of these known issues I've read about in the forums?

Ok, so I checked all of my media source folders for playlist, nothing. Just folders organized by artist. Anymore suggestions?
------
OK, I figured it out. Heres how I fixed this problem: went to start menu, search, then searched all files and folders. I typed in .zpl , which is the extention file for zune playlist. It pulled up my playlist data from when I orignally re-installed the software (not after reinstall). I deleted all of my playlist .zpl files and then re-opened my zune software. I could now create my playlist without the rename your playlist message.

I guess when you remove the zune software it doesn't delete your zune playlist files (.zpl) and when you painstakingly reinstall it (zunesoftware), somehow the software doesn't display them even though they are there.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

I experienced a similar problem in WMP. For some reason. Both softwares dont allow you to add previously created playlists back in, just read them. It is rather annoying

I think if your playlists are in a monitored folder, it'll add them.
