PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

My zune software installs and runs fine, and it worked well once, but now when I try to run it, it still runs, but the only thing that shows is a giant gray box. I can click randomly in there and music starts, and my mouse still changes when I rollover stuff, but I can't see anything!

Endlessly searched forums, reinstalled Zune software.

HAVE YOU SEARCHED ONLINE/ZUNEBOARDS TO FIND A SOLUTION?

yes, none.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY ERROR MESSAGES?

No error messages, it all appears to be working fine, but I can't see anything!

Hi,

I have the same exact problem too with my new Zune.
Is this problem in anyway related to the screen resolution ?? Just thinkin...
any help would be appreciated.

it could be that for some stange reason something is not installing properly

Thanks for the reply. And i tried the reg edit by creating the new DWORD value. But still no go. And i also installed the .NET Framework 3.0>restarted the comp> plugged in the device and i noticed that Zune s/w is not loading up automatically. Maybe it's not detecting the device is connected?
I also dont get the hardware device connected icon in the system tray but i do hear the 'dong' sound.
if i open the Zune s/w manually and go to Sync> it completely locks up and does not allow me click on anything else in the window. i have let the program work on the sync for 60mins but still stays at the same screen.

Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yikes! Try uninstalling with Unzoone: http://remove-it.org/tools/unzoone
And then reinstall the software.
