Default [SOLVED] Help Zune Software not adding my .wma tracks

Ok, to start out I've been downloading Mp3 tracks and then using NBFree Mp3 to Wma converter so my tracks will take up less space on my computer and various (Sansa e250 and Creative Zen V player) mp3 players i've been using over the years.

The Program converts the original mp3's to wma's at 22,050 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; 32kbs( I don't really know what this means but it might be helpful.) After I finish converting the tracks to wma's I delete the original mp3 files to save space on my fairly small harddrive.

The tracks are read(as wma) and added to my library in everyother program I've tried including mediamonkey and windows media player but when I try to search my folders with the new zune software it completely ignores them. I tried the drag and drop method too but it says media type invalid.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program even using unzoone and it's still not working.

Any help?

#1 - are the tracks in a monitored folder by the ZS
#2 - have you tried doing a search for them - from the collection screen simply start typing.
#3 - try going directly to the file in your folder and right clicking and opening with the Zune Software.

Hope that helps...

Yeah, the tracks are in the monitored folders
It says "I have no music in my collection" and searching didnt help and I tried the right click method and it said its not a valid win32 application.
Before I used unzoone and the SZIP to reinstall the software they would at least play but not be added to the library.
All of this reinstalling crap probably screwed me over more.
I think I'm gonna try and uninstall the SZIP version and reinstall it from the original website.

It wouldn't hurt to run a registry cleaner like CCleaner/TweakNow RegCleaner either.

That is VERY helpful. The zune wont support .wma that are encoded at 32kbs, the smallest it allows is 48kbs.

EDIT: Here's the proof from MS

Quote:
Format Available bit rates
Windows Media Audio (wma) constant bit rate
• 48 kilobytes per second (Kbps) (Smallest size)
• 64 Kbps
• 96 Kbps
• 128 Kbps (Default)
• 160 Kbps
• 192 Kbps (Best quality)

So that means I have to reencode all of my tracks ?
Brb I'm gonna go drink the stuff under my sink...

Alright, I'm reconverting my tracks and the reconverted ones are working.
I'm just gonna use mp3tag and fix them all up.
thanks for the help guys

Good catch Man

How can you listen to 32kbs music? It's gotta sound like someone scraping a chalkboard
