ok, so with the last Zune software that was used, it had the option to go and choose from the options menu and open a file then add it to your playlists. however, with this new software, i cant open music files i have saved on my computer and add them to the collection on Zune. The only way I can think of to get the songs from my hard drive to the Zune would be to burn a cd and then rip the music from it. does anyone know how you get the music from your computer's hard drive to the collection on the Zune software?

You have to click the music tab first then drag and drop.

You need to monitor the folders where your music is stored. Look under the software's settings.
