I just got a zune and i put in the cd they gave me and when i was installing it says this:
Installation Failed Setup must stop because the required package 'Zune' failed to install. Custom Action : (some #s): Operation 'RemoveDriver' has finished with result 0x80004005 DIFXAPP: Rollback failed with error 0x2 Error Code: 0x80004005 http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=1... Here's a thread with info. Looks like you need to do two things:
http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/gen...ght=0x80004005 1) Run Windows Update and download all available updates 2) Missing Package on Install If you've experienced problems installing the latest Zune software and setup tells you that you are missing a package, please download the following bundled installer. http://www.anonym.to/?http://downloa...unePackage.exe 1. download package 2. run package to extract to your computer 3. go to directory that you extracted to, run startzune.exe 4. proceed with installation, following instructions

yea dude i had the same problem for about a week and a half what i did was reset my firewall since i was not able to access to turn it on im not sure if your firewall is screwwed like mine was or not just givin u an idea cuz that what fixed mine i was pissed for such a long time

was just throwing a solution out there becuase thats what worked for me my firewall wasnt letting me open it becuase it said do to unidentied errors so when i fixed my firewall and turned it on then my zune software finally finished install as when my firewall was off i was trying to aoubt a week and a half and nothing but now im just looking aroudnn the internet becuases now after my zune working for a while now all of a sudden it says usb device not recognized so if i dont find a solution by the time u post back that would be cool for some advice

nevermind found out why. since i usually always have something plugged in my usb port it goe loose enough to where i plug somthing in it kinda droops a little and when i held it up strait it it was recognised so i moved my usb to the back ports.
