Hi Dizzy, I've sent you a request for a username, thanks in advance dude, you're doing an excellent job for all us non-US Zune owners.
Cheers,
Mickey

Sorry all, I know I'm kind of failing at the moment. I've been really busy lately and that doesn't look to change.
Another way to get an account is to download and install the Opera browser. Supposedly, you'll be able to register with this fine.

Did it work?
I'm curious as to whether or not it's been fixed yet.
Note that if you do use Opera, you still can't use a live ID you've already registered out of the U.S.

US region
I find it extremely that Microsoft would shoot itself in the foot like this only allowing the US and Canadian residents to access its network.
when there are dedicated fans out there who geniunely prefer Zune to Ipod. and making a firm decision to choose zune over ipods.
they have a great product in zune. why not simply make it available to all. what harm could there possibily be to allow access for those who live outside of north america.
that is the reason that microsoft is loosing ground in today´s market.
the execs simply do not think clearly and innovate in a competitive world.
but thanks to everyone here on the boards whom are willing help those devoted zune fans like myself.
KUDOS to you all !!!

I just installed a proxy service for firefox and enabled it
and set up my account quick and easy.
Now let's hope Microsoft actually opens
it up to us sometime in the near future.
That would be nice

Another easy way to sign up is to download google chrome and open an incognito window.
Worked fine for me after all the proxy's that failed.
